The Starting Point for All Training
Every athlete at Revitalize Performance begins with a Performance Evaluation. This is a structured assessment used to determine how an athlete should train — not a workout and not a generic screening.
Training without an evaluation is guessing. We don’t guess.
What the Evaluation Includes
1. Athlete & Training Background Review
We review:
-
Sport and position
-
Training history
-
Injury history and current limitations
-
Competitive calendar and goals
This establishes context so training decisions make sense.
2. Movement Assessment
Athletes are assessed for:
-
Squat, hinge, and split-stance mechanics
-
Single-leg control and balance
-
Core stability
-
Ankle, hip, shoulder, and thoracic mobility
Movement quality determines exercise selection and progression.
3. Performance Testing (Age & Readiness Appropriate)
Key performance metrics may include:
-
Vertical jump and/or broad jump
-
Reactive strength (RSI, when appropriate)
-
Sprint or acceleration metrics (when appropriate)
-
Foundational strength indicators
Testing is used to establish baselines, not to chase numbers.
4. Strengths, Limiters, and Risk Factors
From the assessment, we identify:
-
Current strengths to build on
-
Limiting factors affecting performance
-
Areas requiring modified loading or additional focus
This prevents wasted training time and reduces injury risk.
5. Training Phase & Program Recommendation
Each athlete is placed into the appropriate training phase and structure based on:
-
Readiness
-
Goals
-
Schedule
-
Training age
This determines:
-
Weekly frequency
-
In-person vs remote vs hybrid placement
-
Appropriate training tier
Why the Evaluation Matters
The evaluation ensures:
-
Athletes train at the right level
-
Progressions are appropriate and safe
-
Coaching decisions are intentional
-
Results are repeatable and measurable
This is the foundation of long-term development.
Required for All Athletes
-
Required for in-person training
-
Required for online and hybrid training
-
Determines tier placement and acceptance
Evaluation Fee: $99 (one-time)
Credited toward the first month if the athlete continues training.
What the Evaluation Is NOT
-
Not a workout
-
Not a fitness test day
-
Not a generic checklist
-
Not optional
It is a professional assessment that guides everything that follows.
